Note
This basic crochet slipper is worked from the sole up and embellished with sequins and beads for an extra elegant house-slipper.  To make a larger slipper, increase the number of stitches on the foundation chain and between stitch markers, adding rounds to increase the width of the sole and height on the sides and/ or change hook size to adjust gauge.

To embellish
Place sequins as in schematic or to taste.  Thread beading needle with sewing thread in a similar color as the yarn you are using. Wrap needle and thread around yarn in "fabric" a couple of times and pull tight to secure thread.  Place one sequin and seed bead on needle and slide into place over crocheted fabric.  Holding the sequin in place with one hand, pass the needle back through the center of the sequin, using the bead to anchor it in place; repeat a couple of times to firmly secure sequin in place.  Then run thread between crocheted stitches on the wrong side to avoid long threads being carried across the back of the work that could become caught on tiny toes.   Finish off sewing a pearl in the center of the sequined floret.
