Materials
Garnstudio Drops Alpaca, in white, red, bright orange, bright blue, and black
US Size 0-1 (2.5mm) steel crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
US Size 1 (2.5mm) double-pointed knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle

Gauge
Crochet gauge: 22 stitches x 20 rows = 3x3 inches (7.6cm)
Knitted gauge:  24 stitches x 30 rows = 3x3 inches (7.6cm)

Abbreviations
sl st:  slip stitch
sc:     single crochet
m1R:  make one right (increase)
m1L:  make one left (increase

Instructions
Cuff (crochet):
Ch 56.
Row 1: Insert hook into 2nd chain from hook, sc across (in both loops). Join with sl st, being careful not to twist.
Round 1:  begin working Chart 1 in crochet jacquard. From now on, always work into the back loop!! Skip joining sl st -- [56 sts].

Rounds 2-9:  Continue in chart over 56 sts.
Round 10 (solid color): Decrease 2 sts as follows: sc2tog, sc next 26 sts, sc2tog, sc next 26 sts. -- [54 sts].
Rounds 11-24:  Continue in chart over 54 sts.
Round 25:  sc around in white.  Do not bind off.

Palm (knit):
With same strand, pick up and knit 54 sts, distributing evenly over 3 dpn’s.
Rnd 1:  p1, k to end.
Rnd 2:  (in white) p1, m1R, k to last st, m1L -- [56 sts].
Rnd 3:  p1 in white, *k 1 black, k 1 white, rep from * to end (last st should be black).
Rnd 4:  in white) p1, k to end.
Rnd 5:  (in white) p1, m1R, k to end, m1L -- [58 sts].
Rnd 6:  p1 in white, *k1 red, k1 white, rep from * (last st should be red).
Rnd 7:  (in white) p1, k to end.
Rnd 8:  (in white) p1, m1R, k to end, m1L -- [60 sts].
Rnd 9:  p1 in white, *k1 black, k1 white, rep from * (last st should be black).

Repeat rounds 4-9  3 times.

Rnd 28: as Rnd 4.
Rnd 29: as Rnd 5 -- [74 sts].
Rnd 30: p1, k64. BO 21 sts for thumb: 10 k sts, 1 p st, 10 k sts.  CO 1 st on left needle (for gap, then knit that stitch).
Rnd 31: k all around -- [54 sts].
Rnd 32: k all around.

Fingers (crochet):
Rnd 1: Pick up and sc all sts directly off the needles.
Rnd 2: begin working Chart 2 over 54 sts.
Rnd 7: (solid colour row) Inc twice evenly spaced -- [56 sts].
Continue in chart over 56 sts to end of glove.

Thumb:
Starting at first BO st, pick up and sc 21 sts in White. PU 2 sts across gap, being careful never to PU only one "leg" of a knit stitch.  Avoid holes.  Continue in Chart 3 over 23 sts.

Weave in ends.  Make the second glove in the same manner.
