Materials
1 400 ft. ball of Jute Twine
1 size I (5.5mm) crochet hook
1 stitch marker

Gauge
3 sts x 3 rounds per inch (2.5 cm)

Finished Size
12 ½ inches (32 cm) diameter

Abbreviations
St  -- stitch
Ch -- chain
Sc -- single crochet

Notes
The centerpiece is worked in spiral rounds.  Use a stitch marker to keep track of your place on the spiral (to mark the beginning of each round) and work to desired size.  If you have too many or too few stitches at the end of a round to work increases, sc in each stitch to the end of the round.

Instructions
Round 1: Chain 3; work 5 sc in last sc from hook; place marker.

Round 2: Work 2 sc in each stitch around until you reach the marked stitch; work 2 sc in this stitch and place marker in the top of the 2nd sc just worked.

Round 3: *Work 2sc in next st; sc in nxt st; repeat from * around

Round 4: *Work 2sc in next st; sc in nxt 2 sts; repeat from * around

Round 5: *Work 2sc in next st, sc in nxt 3 sts; repeat from * around.
