Sharing the passion and soul of needlecrafts. |

You may think that for needlecrafters, shopping for yarn is a no-brainer. However, I’m sure beginners will be able to pick up a few tips on shopping at the LYS (local yarn shop), while the adventurous may be tempted to board a plane to Argentina and do some power shopping at the not-so-local yarn shop. Through our travels to Kenya, we are able to help break the chains of illiteracy; in Guatemala and parts of Africa, we excavate a fascinating crochet technique; in Russia and Lithuania, we find our roots, and in Mexico, we are again touched by traditional needlework. Our articles, columns and patterns reflect our diversity and our common threads all at once and show the power of needlecrafts. As we begin this new year, we welcome new authors and designers and graciously thank those who have contributed to the 'zine since we started. This kind of travel beats boarding a plane any day. We hope you enjoy your trip.
