A Hand-Embroidered Flight of Fancy
Marie-France de Crécy, a 38-year-old Parisian textile designer who once worked as a fashion stylist, creates upholstery fabrics with many of the same qualities as those found in haute couture, including hand-embroidery, hand-beading and "the idea of placement," she said, where a print appears "in a very specific place" on a piece of furniture.
